TCFD levers · Swiss-operated · a CogOps Group company

Climate risk,
priced into decisions.

Physical and transition risk screens for portfolios, real estate and lending books — plus climate data packs and briefs with at least five cited sources each. Built for triage and disclosure support, and explicit about what grade of model you are buying.

Model grade, stated up front: our physical-risk scorer is a screening-grade heuristic (v0) — region-class hazard weights, documented assumptions, upgrade path to licensed hazard layers. It triages portfolios; it is not a scientific hazard model and not an insured-risk assessment. Every artifact repeats this line.

Climate pair: CogOps Verde ↔ CogOps Terra — risk meets books. Your counterparties' carbon books (Verde) sharpen transition scoring; your physical & transition screens complete the climate chapter of Verde's CSRD-lite reports. One integrated deliverable, two engines, published internal prices.

Services

Screens, packs, briefs.

① PHYSICAL RISK SCREENS

Per asset, per hazard, ranked

Heat, flood, storm, drought, landslide exposure by region class with your site's exposure multiplier; value-at-risk proxy per asset and portfolio rollup. Heuristic v0, labeled everywhere, upgrade path documented.

② TRANSITION RISK SCORING

The four TCFD levers

Policy, technology, market, reputation — scored per sector profile with carbon-intensity weighting, composite band (low/medium/high), and the reasoning behind each lever score.

③ DATA PACKS & BRIEFS

Finance-grade provenance

Climate-risk data packs for diligence and disclosure, plus ESG research briefs with a minimum of five cited, as-of-dated sources. Fewer than five sources available? The brief refuses to exist.

Model grade doctrine

What you buy, precisely.

SCREENING (v0, today)

Triage & disclosure support

Documented region-class weights and exposure multipliers; deterministic, version-stamped, reproducible. Right for portfolio triage, CSRD/TCFD disclosure drafts, committee pre-reads.

UPGRADE PATH (documented)

Licensed hazard layers

The scorer's interface is stable; swapping in licensed, location-precise hazard data (IPCC-derived or vendor layers) is a data change, not a rebuild. Your historical screens stay comparable via version stamps.

NEVER (our boundary)

No ratings, no insured risk

We do not issue ESG ratings and we do not price insurance risk. Those are regulated or actuarial acts; we stay on the data-and-research side of the line, in writing.

FAQ

Straight answers

Can I use your screens for insurance pricing or regulatory capital?

No — and we will say so in writing on the artifact. Screening-grade v0 supports triage and disclosure drafts. Regulated uses need licensed hazard models and actuarial sign-off; we point you to that boundary instead of crossing it.

What exactly is the physical-risk score?

A deterministic 0–10 exposure score: region-class hazard weights (heat, flood, storm, drought, landslide) times your site's exposure multiplier (coastal, riverine, urban-heat, inland), with the dominant hazard named and the value-at-risk proxy computed from your stated asset value. The full weight table ships with every screen.

Why at least five sources per brief?

Because a climate claim with two sources is a press release. Our briefs cite a minimum of five as-of-dated sources or the engine refuses to generate them — the rule is enforced in code, not in marketing.

Are you an ESG rating agency?

No. Ratings imply a regulated opinion function we deliberately do not perform. We sell screens, packs and cited research; the judgment remains yours, documented in your own framework.

How does the Verde link work in practice?

For integrated climate disclosure: Verde computes your carbon books, Terra supplies physical/transition screens; each buys the other's output through the group's internal market at published prices, and your report arrives as one document with both provenance chains intact.
